Baltic Birch Plywood Panels
Russia’s section of the boreal forest comprises the largest forest land area on the planet. At 25 million hectares, Russia’s FSC® Certified forest land is second only to Canada’s, and makes up 18 percent of the world’s sustainably managed forests. These vast stretches of woodland ensure a sustainable source of raw birch for the ever-growing demand that Baltic birch plywood’s popularity creates.
The FSC® Mixed Credit Baltic birch we use in our Tekstur panels are pressed with non-urea-formaldehyde resins, which qualify them for additional LEED® credits and offer stronger bonding strength than urea based glues commonly used in other hardwood ply. While the raw material is sustainably sources, the production of the panels meets the strict emissions standards set forth by the California Air Resource Board (CARB), making it a sustainable solution from beginning to end.
